How this site is made

The archive is intended to outlast the tools that render it. That constraint drove most of the decisions below.

Creative process and AI

A statement from the creative director of these projects:

I personally lead the creative direction of the work: the concepts, themes, storytelling, lyrics, song structure, emotional intent, revisions, visual direction, and final decisions about what gets released.

AI is used as a brainstorming and production tool. Depending on the project, AI may help generate or shape vocals, instrumentation, arrangements, sound design, production variations, and visual artwork. I direct these tools through prompts, references, iteration and detailed feedback, then select, revise, combine or reject outputs until they fit the intended work.

The important distinction is that AI does not determine the artistic concept or decide how should it be made or what should be released. The narrative, meaning, creative direction, curation and final judgment remain human-led. Where artwork or other media is AI-assisted or AI-generated, it is still created under deliberate art direction rather than treated as an autonomous output.

For collaborative projects involving Keviv Ardnahc and Ilajna Avatsavirs, their respective songs and perspectives are developed intentionally as distinct parts of the larger narrative rather than being automatically generated alternate versions of one another.

Structure

Every page is static HTML, generated at build time. There is no database, no content management system and no server runtime. The entire archive is plain Markdown files with typed frontmatter, kept in version control, which means every revision to a lyric or a note is a dated diff.

If the framework that renders this site is abandoned, the content moves elsewhere unchanged. That is the point.

Weight

Content pages ship under 10 KB of compressed JavaScript. The audio player is written in plain TypeScript rather than a framework, because measurement showed a framework runtime would have cost roughly five times the entire rest of the page to render one button and a slider.

Nothing on a page waits for JavaScript to become readable. Turn scripting off and the words, the images and the links all still work; only the persistent player degrades, with native audio controls for available previews.

Typography

Newsreader for editorial text, Inter for interface, and a monospace face for metadata. Three roles, no decoration.

Audio

Previews are 90-second MP3 excerpts. Full recordings are available on streaming services. Unpublished previews remain disabled, and the player loads audio only when you ask it to.

Measurement

Build checks fail on broken internal links, orphaned pages, a JavaScript budget overrun, or an accessibility violation. A test plays a preview and navigates twice to confirm audio survives navigation.
