DND for Three Business Days
“DND for Three Business Days” is where the parallel journey of Coming of Age... begins to noticeably split.
Two recordings
The same composition, recorded twice. The versions differ in structure and length, not only in voice.

Yeah, stay inside. Huh Yeah, I bought the outfit for the cinematic view I plotted out the movie starring me and you I want the spotlight, I want the perfect scene A vintage filter on a modern magazine I practice every angle in the mirror light I'm ready for the glamour, ready for the night But when the clock strikes ten and it's time to go I'm frozen in the doorway, staring at the snow And I know I want the glamour, want the people to speak But I haven't left this mattress for a solid week The flashing lights are calling, telling me to play But I just want to rot for three business days Oh, I got Main Character Syndrome, but I'm terrified of the stage I want the aesthetic life, but I'm locked inside of my cage Cancel all the reservations, put the phone on silent mode I'm turning off the neon, walking off the open road The world to watch me, but I need to hide away Just let me rot in my room for three business days Three business days, leave me alone Yeah The ceiling fan is spinning like a track on repeat I'm dodging every message, accepting the defeat It's comfortable in here, but the extras walk on the street My aesthetic is a ghost town glowing in the dark I'm a superstar hiding in a lonely quiet park Am I wasting my youth? Am I missing the show? If I never step out, how will anyone know? The protagonist is tired, the script is getting torn I'm retreating to the dark where the quiet is born Born! Oh, I got Main Character Syndrome, but I'm terrified of the stage I want the aesthetic life, but I'm locked inside of my cage Cancel all the reservations, put the phone on silent mode I'm turning off the neon, walking off the open road The world to watch me, but I need to hide away Just let me rot in my room for three business days I want the aesthetic, but I'm staying in bed
Ilajna's Version
Lyrics — Ilajna's Version
Going Offline The world can wait... Coffee getting colder My novel's getting good Another chapter stole me Like I always hoped it would The city's making headlines Mine can wait till Thursday I'm wearing fuzzy socks Calling this my Sunday Old songs from the speakers Slowly fill the room Something sweet is baking Vanilla starts to bloom No deadlines No small talk No racing through the day... The only thing I'm chasing now Is another page... I've got my DND For three business days Leave the world outside the door It'll still be there I've got nowhere I should be Nothing left to prove I've got my favorite story… And my favorite view and You're just one hand away... That's enough for me You don't have to say a word Please.. Jus lay close to me Your hand swirling on ma belly Mine turning one more page We're living in two stories Sharing same cozy space You smile while I'm still reading Steal a little kiss I pretend that I'm disturbed But this is what I always miss... I've got my DND For three business days... Silence isn't lonely Silence isn't rude Silence doesn't demand coz Silence is "home" I've got my DND For three business days Trade the meetings for the music Trade the rush for Wattapad Every little ordinary Moment feels brand new I've got everything I wanted In this quiet room You're one hand away That's enough for me I can drift into my world Knowing you'll still be here with me I've got my DND For three business days... Maybe happiness Was never hard Maybe peace Was always found Just in rainy afternoons… Reading Books without an end... A warm cup An old song and My favorite "human" I've got my DND For three business days The world's still turning somewhere But it can surely wait Monday can have my title Today I just wanna be "me" I've got my DND For three business days... No ladder... No pressure... Just the quiet parts of me coz You're just one hand away... and That's my favorite place Close enough to feel your warmth Far enough to dream One more chapter... One more song... One more rainy sky... Three business days... And Then... I'll be alright
Story Behind DND for Three Business Days
“DND for Three Business Days” is where the parallel journey of Coming of Age… begins to noticeably split.
Up to this point, Keviv and Ilajna have been moving through many of the same broad questions: identity, pressure, expectations, visibility, and the strange performance of becoming an adult. But here, their responses to that world begin to reveal who they are as different people, not simply two perspectives on the same situation.
For Keviv, “DND” is not entirely peaceful. His version carries a contradiction: wanting to disappear while still wanting to be seen. There is retreat, avoidance, overthinking, and a bit of self-aware “main character syndrome” in it. He wants distance from the noise, but part of him is still aware of the world outside, still wondering what he is missing, still measuring himself against it.
His version treats withdrawal almost like a glitch in the comeback narrative. The phone is on Do Not Disturb, the world can wait, and bed becomes a temporary hiding place. But the mind has not necessarily gone quiet with it.
Ilajna’s experience is very different.
For Ilajna, switching on DND is not hiding. It is reclaiming peace.
Her version came from the idea of someone whose working life can be full of responsibility, schedules, decisions, professional expectations and the inevitable politics of a corporate world, but who knows how to deliberately protect a small private universe outside it. A quiet weekend can mean a comfortable bed, an old song playing somewhere, a story to disappear into, something being cooked, rain in the background, soft light, and the person you love close enough that nothing more needs to be said.
In Keviv’s version, solitude has friction.
In Ilajna’s version, solitude has warmth.
That difference became important to us because adulthood does not shape everyone in the same way. Even when two people are living alongside one another, the same pressures can produce completely different coping mechanisms. One person may retreat because the outside world has become overwhelming; another may retreat because they have learned that protecting their inner world is valuable in itself.
The phrase “three business days” adds the humour that runs through much of Coming of Age…. It takes the impersonal language of offices, automated replies and corporate timelines and applies it to emotional availability:
Your request has been received. I will return to humanity shortly.
But underneath the joke is something quite sincere: the need to occasionally become unavailable.
Ilajna’s version especially reframes that unavailability as something healthy. She does not need to be productive, impressive or professionally defined every minute. For a little while, the title can wait, the meetings can wait, and Monday can have all of that back later. In that protected space, she simply gets to be.
This is also why having two versions becomes increasingly important from this point onward in the album. They are no longer just answering the same question differently. Their lives, instincts and emotional responses are beginning to branch into separate paths.
Keviv’s DND asks:
“Can the world leave me alone while I figure myself out?”
Ilajna’s feels closer to:
“The world can wait. I already know where I want to be right now.”
And that divergence is part of what Coming of Age… ultimately tries to say: growing together does not mean becoming the same person. Sometimes maturity is learning how differently two people can experience the world, while still choosing to remain close to one another.
