Zero Percent FOMO
“Zero Percent FOMO” is intentionally a little ironic. On the surface, the title sounds confident, almost like a declaration: I’m completely fine missing out.
Two recordings
The same composition, recorded twice. The versions differ in structure and length, not only in voice.

Lyrics — Keviv's Version
Ah... I see you... I'm right here... The screen is glowing Lighting up the sheets Another invite To the party down the street I swipe it up I let the silence win Don't have the energy To let the night begin My social battery Is flashing on the red Pull the heavy covers Over my head Ghosted the group chat Needed to retreat Just another shadow Hiding from the street Then I hear the buzz The phantom ring Imagining the laughter The songs you sing I said I needed space Needed to detach Now I'm watching Every single story you attach My thumb is hovering Sweating in the glow Wanted to stay home Now I need to go Oh... I left you on read But my heart is racing fast Watching all the memories Slipping to the past My battery's at zero Nothing left to say But the FOMO's giving me A heart attack today Paralyzed in bed Staring at the screen Missing out on everything The ghost in the machine Pausing on the picture Analyzing every frame Who's standing next to you? Did they even say my name? It's a toxic little cycle Push you all away Then pray you notice I didn't show today My mind's at the party My body's in the dark A superstar Inside a lonely park If I turn it off Will I disappear? If I close my eyes Will you still be here? Exhausted by the crowd Terrified of the quiet Bedroom all alone Starting up a riot I wanted to be lonely... But I'm terrified to bleed Leaving you on read... Is that really what I need? Everything goes quiet... Nothing left to prove Maybe all I wanted... Was someone not to move Oh... I left you on read But my heart is racing fast Watching all the memories Slipping to the past Battery at zero Nothing left to say But the FOMO's giving me A heart attack today Paralyzed in bed Staring at the screen Missing out on everything The ghost in the machine The ghost... In the machine... Left you on read...

Lyrics — Ilajna's Version
I see you, I'm right here The screen is shining, lighting up the sheets Another invite to a party down the street I swipe it up, I let the silence win I don't have the energy to let the night begin My social battery is flashing on the red I pull the heavy covers up over my head I ghost the group chat, I need to retreat Just another figure hiding from the street But then I hear the buzz, the phantom ring Imagining the laughter, the songs you sing I said I needed space, I needed to detach But now I'm watching single stories which my thumb is hovering and I'm sweating in the light I wanted to stay home but now I need to go Oh, I left you on read but my heart is racing fast Watching all the memories that I'm leaving in the past My battery's at zero, I've got nothing left to say But the FOMO's giving me a heart attack today Yeah, I'm paralyzed in bed, staring at the screen Missing out on everything, the ghost in the machine I'm pausing on the picture, analyze the frame Who's standing next to you? Did they even say my name? It's a toxic little cycle, I push you all away Then pray to God you noticed that I didn't show today My mind is at the party, my body's in the dark Only girl isolated in a lonely park If I turn it off, will I disappear? If I close my eyes, will you still be here? I'm exhausted by the crowd but terrified of the quiet In my bedroom alone, starting up a riot Oh, I left you on read but my heart is racing fast Watching all the memories that I'm leaving in the past My battery's at zero, I've got nothing left to say But the FOMO's giving me a heart attack today Yeah, I'm paralyzed in bed, staring at the screen Missing out on everything, the ghost in the machine I wanted to be lonely but I'm terrified to be Dying of a heart attack Leaving you on read 0% heart attack 0% But my heart won't stop I left you on read But I'm watching every drop
Story Behind Zero Percent FOMO
“Zero Percent FOMO” is intentionally a little ironic.
On the surface, the title sounds confident, almost like a declaration: I’m completely fine missing out. But the song itself tells a more complicated truth. Keviv and Ilajna may choose to stay away from the noise, ignore invitations, leave messages unanswered, or retreat into their own space, but mentally, a part of them is still looking back at what they are missing.
That contradiction is the heart of the song.
Both versions show a familiar modern experience: your social battery is empty, your body wants rest, but your mind is still somewhere else. You may be in bed, in the dark, telling yourself you made the right choice, while your phone keeps showing you fragments of the party, the outing, the people, the laughter, the moment you are no longer part of.
So “Zero Percent FOMO” is not really about having no FOMO at all.
It is about wanting to be free from it.
That is why Keviv’s and Ilajna’s versions remain closely parallel here. Unlike some other songs on Coming of Age…, where their experiences start diverging strongly, this one shows that two very different people can still fall into the same psychological loop: I don’t want to go… but now that I didn’t go, why am I thinking about it so much?
There is humour in that contradiction, but also something honest.
FOMO is often treated as a shallow social-media problem, but the feeling can go deeper. It touches comparison, belonging, insecurity, curiosity, and the fear that life is happening somewhere else without us. The feed makes that feeling even stronger because it gives us constant evidence, or at least the appearance of evidence, that everybody else is having a better time.
The song plays with that tension without becoming preachy.
Keviv and Ilajna are not saying socialising is bad, or staying home is better. They are simply exposing the absurdity of wanting peace while still checking the noise.
That is why lines built around the idea of being physically withdrawn but mentally still present elsewhere became so important to the song. The body has opted out, but the mind has not fully signed the form.
Within Coming of Age…, “Zero Percent FOMO” captures another stage of growing up in the digital world: realizing that independence is not just about saying no. It is about becoming comfortable with the consequences of saying no.
And that takes time.
So the title becomes almost aspirational.
Zero percent FOMO is where they want to be.
The song is about everything that happens before they actually get there.
